About SEND

We provide an environment in which all children with special educational needs and disabilities are supported to reach their full potential (SEND).

To make sure that our provision meets the needs of each individual child, we take account of any individual needs a child may have. We work to the requirements of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years. We have in place a clear approach for identifying, responding to, and meeting, where possible children’s needs. We support and involve parents (and where relevant children), actively listening to, and acting on their wishes and concerns.

SEND Support plans are written with parents and professional and reviewed in partnership following the setting planning cycle.

We work in partnership with the local authority and other external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children with SEND and their families. We regularly monitor and review our policy, practice and provision and, if necessary, make adjustments.
